Suasi Island, with 43 hectares is a private island that is located on the northeastern shore of Lake Titicaca.
The quickest and easiest way to get there is by speed boat from the dock in Puno. It takes approximately 3 hours to reach the island, but in the way you can stop at the floating islands "Uros" and on the island of Taquile (or better yet, in the community of "Llachón" on the peninsula Capachica), famous for its Quechua people, who are still wearing their traditional costumes.
Once on the island of Suasi can perform various activities not included in Arcobaleno services, such as horseback along the paths of the island enjoying the beautiful scenery, between the months of September to April, you can visit the Andean farms under organic cultivation of native products such as potatoes, quinoa, oca, corn, tarhui, as well as imported crops.
You can also see animals like wild vicuña, chinchilla, cormorants and other birds that are being protected. The dense forest located in the many terraces of the island offers a large variety of birds such as ducks, cormorants, hummingbirds that visit the many flowers of different colors.
